A not-so-classical weekend

The weekend of 7 and 8 November is THE weekend on the French Riviera no one will want to miss under any circumstances: special deals, sport, culture... Here are some of the reasons why so many people will flock here.

Interested in extra special sales? If that's the case, rush to the Nice Étoile and Cap 3000 shopping centres from 4 to 10 November. All that week, many shops will slash their prices. Yield to the promise of taking advantage of all those low prices without making (too big) a hole in your budget, not feeling guilty about not having resisted! And best of all: the two shopping centres will be open on Armistice Day, 11 November.

Marathon des Alpes-Maritimes  
All to your running shoes!

The Alpes-Maritimes Marathon will take place on 8 November. Held only for the second time, this young event is already the second largest marathon race in France. With its very, very warm atmosphere, breathtaking landscapes against the backdrop of the Mediterranean Sea, this is a fast course: 42.195 km (26.2 miles) of sheer bliss! Departure at 8am on Promenade des Anglais in Nice; finish a few hours later in front of the Festival Hall in Cannes. That day, you’ll be in the spotlight.

"C'est pas Classique": great! The General Council is relaunching its operation in 2009. From 6 to 8 November, the Acropolis Convention Centre in Nice offers three days of free concerts. The programme includes only the very finest, sure to delight audiences. And there are exhibitions, workshops, master classes..."asses...
